Surely We created man of a clay of mud moulded, 26 whereas the invisible beings We had created, [long] before that, out of the fire of scorching winds. 27 And (remember) when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am creating a mortal out of potter's clay of black mud altered, 28 When I have shaped him and ran My created soul in him fall down prostrating towards him'. 29 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely, 30 Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate. 31 He said: 'iblis, what is the matter with you, that you do you not prostrate yourself' 32 He replied: 'I will not prostrate to a mortal You have created of clay, from molded mud' 33 The Lord said: "Then get out of here; you are rejected, 34 “And indeed you are accursed till the Day of Judgement.” 35 Iblis prayed, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Judgment". 36 He said: Then lo! thou art of those reprieved 37 "Till the Day of the Time appointed." 38 He said: My Lord! Because Thou hast sent me astray, I verily shall adorn the path of error for them in the earth, and shall mislead them every one, 39 except those of Your servants whom You have singled out for Yourself." 40 [Allah] said, "This is a path [of return] to Me [that is] straight. 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 And verily Hell is the place promised unto them all. 43 with seven gates leading into it, each gate receiving its allotted share of sinners. 44
