We have created the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 Recall when your Lord said to the angels: "I will indeed bring into being a human being out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud. 28 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him in prostration! 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 30 except Iblis who refused to join with the others in prostration. 31 The Lord inquired: "Iblis! What is the matter with you that you did not join those who prostrated?" 32 He replied, "I am not one to prostrate myself to a man whom You have created out of a clay of moulded mud." 33 Said Allah, “Therefore exit from Paradise, for you are an outcast.” 34 and the curse shall be on you till the Day of Judgement!" 35 Iblis said: "My Lord! Grant me respite till the Day when they will be resurrected." 36 (Allah) said: "Respite is granted thee 37 for an appointed time." 38 Iblis said: "My Lord! In the manner You led me to error, I will make things on earth seem attractive to them and lead all of them to error, 39 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 40 Allah said: this is the path leading unto Me straight. 41 over My servants thou shalt have no authority, except those that follow thee, 42 And surely Hell is the promised place of them all: 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
