And assuredly We have created human being from ringing clay of loam moulded. 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 When your Lord said to the angels, "I will create the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay. 28 And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 29 So the angels fell prostrate, all of them together 30 Except Iblis (Satan); he refused to be among those who prostrated. 31 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What happened to you that you stayed apart from those who prostrated?” 32 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud." 33 [Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 He said: My Lord! then respite me till the time when they are raised. 36 Said Allah, “You are of those given respite.” 37 till that Appointed Day." 38 "O my Lord," he said, "since You have led me into error I'll beguile them with the pleasures of the world and lead them astray, 39 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 40 He said: This is a right course incumbent upon Me: 41 over My worshipers you have no authority, except the perverse that follow you. 42 And indeed hell is the promise for all of them. 43 It hath seven gates, and each gate hath an appointed portion. 44
