VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 (And it is said unto them): Enter them in peace, secure. 46 We shall strip away all rancour that is in their breasts; as brothers they shall be upon couches set face to face; 47 no fatigue there shall smite them, neither shall they ever be driven forth from there. 48 ۞ Announce, (O Muhammad) unto My slaves that verily I am the Forgiving, the Merciful, 49 and that My punishment is a painful one. 50 And inform them about the guests of Abraham, 51 When they entered his presence and said, "Peace!" He said, "We feel afraid of you!" 52 'Do not be afraid' they answered. 'We come to give you glad tidings of a knowledgeable child' 53 Abraham asked, "Are you giving me the glad news of a son in my old age? What reason can you give for such glad news?" 54 "We have given you the happy tidings of a truth," they replied. "So do not be one of those who despair." 55 He replied: 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, except those that are astray? 56 He added: "What is your errand O sent ones?" 57 They answered: "We are sent to people lost in sin [who are to be destroyed,] 58 "Excepting the adherents of Lut: them we are certainly (charged) to save (from harm),- All - 59 Except his wife." Allah decreed that she is of those who remain behind. 60
