The righteous (will be) amid gardens and fountains (of clear-flowing water). 45 "Enter in peace and tranquility," (they will be told). 46 We shall remove all rancor from their hearts, and as brethren they shall recline on couches face to face. 47 no fatigue there shall smite them, neither shall they ever be driven forth from there. 48 ۞ Tell My servants that I - I alone - am truly forgiving, a true dispenser of grace; 49 and that My punishment is a painful one. 50 Tell them about Abraham's guests: 51 who came to him saying, "Peace be with you." Abraham said, "We are afraid of you". 52 Said they: "Fear not! Behold, we bring thee the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who will be endowed with deep knowledge." 53 Said he: "Do you give me this glad tiding despite the fact that old age has overtaken me? Of what [strange thing,] then, are you giving me a tiding!" 54 They (the angels) said: "We give you glad tidings in truth. So be not of the despairing ones." 55 He replied: 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, except those that are astray? 56 Abraham said: "What then is the business on which ye (have come), O ye messengers (of Allah)?" 57 They said: We have been sent unto a guilty folk, 58 Except Lot's family, of whom we shall save all, 59 all together, excepting his wife -- we have decreed, she shall surely be of those that tarry.' 60
