"Truly! The Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) will be amidst Gardens and water-springs (Paradise). 45 "Enter in peace and tranquility," (they will be told). 46 And We shall have removed whatsoever of grudge may be in their breasts: brethren they; sitting upon couches facing each other. 47 Toil cometh not unto them there, nor will they be expelled from thence. 48 ۞ (O Prophet), declare to My servants that I am indeed Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful. 49 But My punishment is surely a painful one. 50 And tell them of Abraham's guests, 51 who came to him saying, "Peace be with you." Abraham said, "We are afraid of you". 52 Said they: "Fear not! Behold, we bring thee the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who will be endowed with deep knowledge." 53 Said he: "Do you give me this glad tiding despite the fact that old age has overtaken me? Of what [strange thing,] then, are you giving me a tiding!" 54 They said: We bring thee good tidings in truth. So be not thou of the despairing. 55 He said, "Who but the misguided despair of the mercy of their Lord?" 56 He added: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" 57 They said: "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin, 58 Except Lot's family, of whom we shall save all, 59 excepting only his wife, [of whom God says,] 'We have ordained [that,] behold, she should be among those who stay behind!' 60
