[Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Indeed! We are afraid of you." 52 'Do not be afraid' they answered. 'We come to give you glad tidings of a knowledgeable child' 53 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Do you give me glad tidings (of a son) when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?" 54 give me good tidings?' They said, 'We give thee good tidings of truth. Be not of those that despair.' 55 [Abraham] exclaimed: "And who - other than those who have utterly lost their way - could ever abandon the hope of his Sustainer's grace?" 56 [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" 57 They said: "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin, 58 Except for Lot's household, all of whom we shall rescue, 59 Except his wife, of whom We had decreed that she should be of those who stay behind. 60
