And when the messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 he said, 'Surely you are a people unknown to me!' 62 They said: "Yea, we have come to thee to accomplish that of which they doubt. 63 And we have come to you with the truth, and we are most surely truthful. 64 Go, then, with thy household while it is yet night, with thyself following them in the rear; and let none of you look back, but proceed whither you are bidden." 65 And We decreed for him that commandment, that the last remnant of those should be cut off in the morning. 66 In the meantime the people of the city came to Lot rejoicing. 67 He said: Surely these are my guests, therefore do not disgrace me, 68 and fear God, and do not degrade me.' 69 They said, "Did we not forbid you to extend hospitality to strangers?" 70 He said, “These women of our tribe are my daughters, if you have to.” 71 By your life, they wandered on in their wild intoxication 72 But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning, 73 And We made the upside there of downwards, and We rained on them stones of baked clay. 74 Herein are really signs for those who discern. 75 it is still there on the highway -- 76 Verily in that is a sign for the believers. 77 And the people of Aykah were also wrong-doers. 78 So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway. 79

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
