And when the messengers came unto the family of Lot, 61 he said: "Behold, you are people unknown [here]!" 62 They said: nay! we have come to thee with that whereof they have been dubitating. 63 And we have come to you with the truth, and we are most surely truthful. 64 Therefore go forth with your followers in a part of the night and yourself follow their rear, and let not any one of you turn round, and go forth whither you are commanded. 65 And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 He said: 'These are my guests; do not shame me. 68 "And fear Allah and disgrace me not." 69 They replied, "Did we not forbid you to bring anyone to your house?" 70 [Lot] said: "[Take instead] these daughters of mine, if you must do [whatever you intend to do]!" 71 By thy life, in their intoxication they were wandering bewildered. 72 Therefore the scream overcame them at sunrise. 73 We turned the town upside-down and showered on them lumps of baked clay. 74 There are great Signs in this for those endowed with intelligence. 75 surely it is on a way yet remaining; 76 Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. 77 And the people of Aykah were also wrong-doers. 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79
