And when the messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 he said to them: 'I do not know you' 62 "We have come to you with news," they said, "of what your people doubt; 63 And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful. 64 So set out thou with thy house hold in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs, and let not one of you look back, and pass whither ye are commanded. 65 And We decreed for him that commandment, that the last remnant of those should be cut off in the morning. 66 And the people of the city came [unto Lot,] rejoicing at the glad tiding. 67 Exclaimed [Lot]: "Behold, these are my guests: so put me not to shame, 68 "And fear Allah and disgrace me not." 69 They replied: "Did we not forbid you again and again to extend hospitality to all and sundry?" 70 [Lout (Lot)] said: "These (the girls of the nation) are my daughters (to marry lawfully), if you must act (so)." 71 By your life, they wandered blindly in their dazzlement. 72 Then the shout took hold of them at the sunrise. 73 And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay. 74 Surely! In this are signs, for those who see (or understand or learn the lessons from the Signs of Allah). 75 And indeed that township is upon a road still in use. 76 surely in this there is a sign for those who believe. 77 And the dwellers of the wood surely were wrong-doers. 78 So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
