Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 he said, 'Surely you are a people unknown to me!' 62 They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, 63 "Yet we bring to you the truth, and we are truthful. 64 Therefore go forth with your followers in a part of the night and yourself follow their rear, and let not any one of you turn round, and go forth whither you are commanded. 65 We communicated to him Our decree that the guilty ones would be destroyed by the morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 rushed towards the house of Lot. Lot said to them, "These are my guests. Do not disgrace me. 68 And guard against (the punishment of) Allah and do not put me to shame. 69 They said, 'Have we not forbidden thee all beings?' 70 He said: 'Here are my daughters; take them (in marriage), if you would be doing' 71 Verily by your life they were utterly confused in their (lustful) drunkenness. 72 and the Cry seized them at the sunrise, 73 And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay. 74 Verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 75 surely it is on a way yet remaining; 76 Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. 77 The dwellers of the Thicket were harmdoers. 78 We afflicted them with punishment. Both people had clear (divine) authority among them. 79
