So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 he said, 'Surely you are a people unknown to me!' 62 They said, 'Nay, but we have brought thee that concerning which they were doubting. 63 We bring you the truth, and indeed we are truthful. 64 Therefore go forth with your followers in a part of the night and yourself follow their rear, and let not any one of you turn round, and go forth whither you are commanded. 65 We informed him that the unbelievers would be utterly destroyed. 66 And there came the people of the city rejoicing 67 He said: verily these are my guests, so disgrace me not. 68 And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." 69 They answered: "Have we not forbidden thee [to offer protection] to any kind of people?" 70 Lot exclaimed in exasperation: "If you are bent on doing something, then here are my daughters." 71 Verily by your life they were utterly confused in their (lustful) drunkenness. 72 Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise. 73 Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed. 74 Surely in that are signs for such as mark; 75 The place (where this occurred) lies along a known route. 76 Behold! in this is a sign for those who believed. 77 Since the People of the Forest were unjust, 78 So We took vengeance on them. Both are still there on the highway, plain for all to see. 79

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
