And when the envoys came to the family of Lot, 61 he said, 'Surely you are a people unknown to me!' 62 They said: "Nay, we have come to you with that (torment) which they have been doubting. 63 We bring you the truth, and indeed we are truthful. 64 Therefore go forth with your followers in a part of the night and yourself follow their rear, and let not any one of you turn round, and go forth whither you are commanded. 65 And We made known to him this decree that the wrongdoers were to be utterly cut off in the morning. 66 And the people of the city came [unto Lot,] rejoicing at the glad tiding. 67 He said: Surely these are my guests, therefore do not disgrace me, 68 and fear God, and do not degrade me.' 69 They said: forbade we not thee against the worlds? 70 [Lot] said, "These are my daughters - if you would be doers [of lawful marriage]." 71 [But the angels spoke thus:] "As thou livest, [O Lot, they will not listen to thee:] behold, in their delirium [of lust] they are but blindly stumbling to and fro!" 72 But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning, 73 We turned the town upside down and rained upon them stones of clay. 74 Behold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand. 75 surely it is on a way yet remaining; 76 Indeed in this are signs for the believers. 77 And the people of Aykah were also wrong-doers. 78 So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible. 79
