And when the sent angels came to the house of Lut. 61 He said: "Verily! You are people unknown to me." 62 They replied, "We have come to you about the matter which the (unbelievers) have rejected. 63 and we have come to you with the truth, and surely we are truthful, 64 Depart with your family in a part of the night and walk behind them and let none of you turn round. Go to a place where you are commanded' 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 [Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me. 68 and fear God, and do not degrade me.' 69 They said, “Had we not forbidden you from meddling in the affairs of anyone?” 70 "Here are my daughters," said Lot, "if you are so active." 71 Verily, by thy life (O Prophet), in their wild intoxication, they wander in distraction, to and fro. 72 At sunrise a dreadful Shout seized them. 73 And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay. 74 Surely in this are signs for those who examine. 75 it is still there on the highway -- 76 In this there is evidence (of the Truth) for the believers. 77 And indeed the Dwellers of the Woods were unjust. 78 So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see. 79

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
