Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 He said: "Ye appear to be uncommon folk." 62 They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, 63 We have come to thee with the truth, and assuredly we speak truly. 64 Go, then, with thy household while it is yet night, with thyself following them in the rear; and let none of you look back, but proceed whither you are bidden." 65 We informed him that the unbelievers would be utterly destroyed. 66 The people of the town rejoicingly 67 and he told them, "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." 69 They answered: "Have we not forbidden thee [to offer protection] to any kind of people?" 70 He said, 'These are my daughters, if you would be doing.' 71 By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. 72 Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise. 73 We laid it (the city) upside down and rained stones of baked clay upon them. 74 There are great Signs in this for those endowed with intelligence. 75 Indeed, it is on a way which still exists. 76 In this there is evidence (of the Truth) for the believers. 77 The dwellers of the Wood (near Midian) were also wicked. 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79
