The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
