And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 And they used to carve dwellings in the hills, without fear. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
