The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 Those who broke the Word of Allah into several parts. (Those who broke the Torah / Bible or changed its text – or those who called the Qur’an a fabrication / poetry.) 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 For all their deeds. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Those who ascribe another God along with Allah; so they will soon come to know. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
