And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 And all that which they used to earn availed them not. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
