And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 Who have made the Quran into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other). 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 Of what they used to do. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
