And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 For all that they used to do. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
