The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 But As-Saihah (torment - awful cry etc.) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days). 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 As to what they did. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
