AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 About all what they used to do. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
