And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 Say, "Indeed, I am simply one who warns." 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 Who have made the Quran into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other). 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 About what they used to do. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
