And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But As-Saihah (torment - awful cry etc.) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days). 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 For all that they used to do. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
