The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 and who have broken the Scripture into fragments -- 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 For that which they have been working. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
