Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 Say, "Indeed, I am simply one who warns." 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 For that which they have been working. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
