The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 For all their deeds. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
