And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 About their deeds. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
