People of Hijr rejected the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 For all their deeds. 93 Therefore publicly announce what you are commanded, and turn away from the polytheists. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
