Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is indeed the Creator of all, the All-Knowing. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore publicly announce what you are commanded, and turn away from the polytheists. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
