Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Do not even cast your eyes towards the worldly goods We have granted to different kinds of people, nor grieve over the state they are in, but turn your loving attention to the believers instead, 88 and say, 'Surely, I am the manifest warner.' 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 For all their deeds. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
