And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 Who have made the Quran into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other). 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 about what they did. 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
