And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 We brought them signs, but they turned away. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 For all their deeds. 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
