And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 for whatever they have done! 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
