And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 We brought them signs, but they turned away. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 for whatever they have done! 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 When (you feel so) glorify your Lord with His praise and prostrate yourself before Him, 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
