And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 and who have broken the Scripture into fragments -- 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 for whatever they have done! 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
