And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 and say, 'Surely, I am the manifest warner.' 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 Who have made the Quran into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other). 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 Of what they used to do. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 We suffice thee against the mockers, 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
