Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 And all that which they used to earn availed them not. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 For all that they used to do. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
