And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
