The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The decree of God is at hand, so do not seek to hasten it. Holy is He, and exalted far above what they associate with Him. 1 He sends the angels with revelation by His command, to any of His creatures as He please, (saying): "Warn that there is no god but I, so fear Me." 2 He created the heavens and the earth for a true purpose. He is exalted above anything they associate with Him. 3 He creates man out of a [mere] drop of sperm: and lo! this same being shows himself endowed with the power to think and to argue! 4 And the cattle He created for you. In them, you have warmth and other uses, and of them you eat. 5 And for you there is beauty in them as ye drive them at eventide and as ye drive them out to pasture. 6 And they carry your loads to a land that you could not reach except with great trouble to yourselves. Truly, your Lord is full of Kindness, Most Merciful. 7 And (He has created) horses, mules, and donkeys, for you to ride and use for show; and He has created (other) things of which ye have no knowledge. 8 And upon Allah is the responsibility to explain the Straight Path (i.e. Islamic Monotheism for mankind i.e. to show them legal and illegal, good and evil things, etc. so, whosoever accepts the guidance, it will be for his own benefit and whosoever goes astray, it will be for his own destruction), but there are ways that turn aside (such as Paganism, Judaism, Christianity, etc.). And had He willed, He would have guided you all (mankind). 9
