The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah's commandment has come, therefore do not desire to hasten it; glory be to Him, and highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). 1 He sends down the angels with the Spirit (Gabriel) by His command to those of His worshipers whom He chooses, (saying:) 'Warn, there is no god except Me, therefore fear Me' 2 He created the heavens and the earth with truth. Exalted is He above what they associate (with Him)! 3 He created man from a sperm-drop; then at once, he is a clear adversary. 4 And the cattle He created for you. In them, you have warmth and other uses, and of them you eat. 5 And ye have a sense of pride and beauty in them as ye drive them home in the evening, and as ye lead them forth to pasture in the morning. 6 And they carry your heavy loads to lands that ye could not (otherwise) reach except with souls distressed: for your Lord is indeed Most Kind, Most Merciful, 7 And (He has created) horses, mules, and donkeys, for you to ride and use for show; and He has created (other) things of which ye have no knowledge. 8 It is for Allah to show the way. Some swerve from it, but had He willed, He would have guided all of you. 9
