The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Allah's commandment has come, therefore do not desire to hasten it; glory be to Him, and highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). 1 He sends down the angels with inspiration of His Command to whom of His slaves He pleases (saying): "Warn mankind that La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so fear Me (by abstaining from sins and evil deeds). 2 He has created the heavens and the earth in accordance with [an inner] truth; sublimely exalted is He above anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 3 He created man out of a [mere] drop of sperm: yet he shows himself to be openly contentious! 4 He has created cattle for you: from them you derive food and clothing and numerous other benefits; 5 And in them is your elegance, when you bring them home at evening, and when you leave them to graze. 6 And they carry your loads to [many] a place which [otherwise] you would be unable to reach without great hardship to yourselves. Verily, your Sustainer is most compassionate, a dispenser of grace! 7 And He hath created horses and mules and asses that ye may ride there on, and as an adornment; and He createth that which ye know not. 8 And upon Allah is the direction of the way, and thereof is some crooked; and had He willed He would have guided you all. 9
