The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah's judgement has (all but) come; do not, then, call for its speedy advent. Holy is He, and far above their associating others with Him in His Divinity. 1 He sends down the angels with the soul of faith – the divine revelations – towards those among His bondmen He wills that, “There is no worship except for Me, therefore fear Me.” 2 He hath created the heavens and the earth with truth. High be He Exalted above all that they associate (with Him). 3 He created man from a sperm-drop; then at once, he is a clear adversary. 4 And He created the cattle for you; you have in them warm clothing and (many) advantages, and of them do you eat. 5 And for you there is beauty in them as ye drive them at eventide and as ye drive them out to pasture. 6 And they carry your heavy loads to lands that ye could not (otherwise) reach except with souls distressed: for your Lord is indeed Most Kind, Most Merciful, 7 And horses, and mules, and donkeys so that you may ride them, and for adornment; and He will create what you do not know*. (* All modern means of transport – by air, sea, land and even in space – evidence this.) 8 The straight way leads to God and there are ways which deviate from the right course. If He so wished, He would guide you all. 9
