Al-nahl 2 of 16
It is He who sends down water from the sky of which you drink, and which nourishes the plants you feed your cattle, 10 And thereby He brings forth crops and olives, palms and vines, and all the fruits. Surely, in this there is a sign for a nation who think. 11 God has made the day and the night, the sun and the moon, and all the stars subservient to you by His command. In this there is evidence of the truth for people of understanding. 12 And all the [beauty of] many hues - which He has created for you on earth: in this, behold, there is a message for people who [are willing to] take it to heart! 13 And He it is Who hath constrained the sea to be of service that ye eat fresh meat from thence, and bring forth from thence ornaments which ye wear. And thou seest the ships ploughing it that ye (mankind) may seek of His bounty and that haply ye may give thanks. 14 And He hath cast into the earth firm hills that it quake not with you, and streams and roads that ye may find a way. 15 And landmarks (signposts, etc. during the day) and by the stars (during the night), they (mankind) guide themselves. 16 Is He then Who creates like him who does not create? Do you not then mind? 17 And if you would count the graces of Allah, never could you be able to count them. Truly! Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you declare. 19 Those unto whom they cry beside Allah created naught, but are themselves created. 20 they are dead, not living. They do not even know when they will be resurrected. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
