It is He who sends down rain from the sky; from it is drink and from it is foliage in which you pasture [animals]. 10 [and] by virtue thereof He causes crops to grow for you, and olive trees, and date palms, and grapes, and all [other] kinds of fruit: in this, behold, there is a message indeed for people who think! 11 And He has made the night and the day and the sun and the moon subservient [to His laws, so that they be of use] to you; and all the stars are subservient to His command: in this, behold, there are messages indeed for people who use their reason! 12 On the earth He has fashioned for you objects of various hues: there is certainly a sign in that for people who pay heed. 13 It is He who subjected to you the sea, so that you may eat its fresh seafood and bring forth from it ornaments to wear. You see the ships cleaving through it. All this, so that you may seek His bounty and feel grateful. 14 And He cast on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake with you, and rivers and ways; so haply you will be guided; 15 The stars and other signs also help people to find their way. 16 Is then He, Who creates as one who creates not? Will you not then remember? 17 For, should you try to count God's blessings, you could never compute them! Behold, God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace; 18 Allah knows all that you conceal and all that you disclose. 19 , As for those they call besides God, they cannot create a thing, and have themselves been created. 20 They are dead, not living; nor do they know when they will be raised to life. 21
