Al-nahl 2 of 16
He it is Who sends down water (rain) from the sky; from it you drink and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture; 10 He groweth for you thereby the corn and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Verily therein is a sign for a people who ponder. 11 And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder; 12 All that He has created for you on the earth are of different colors. In this there is evidence of the Truth for the people who take heed. 13 It is God who put the oceans at your disposal so that you could find therein fresh fish for food and ornaments with which to deck yourselves with. You will find ships that sail for you so that you may travel in search of the bounties of God and give Him thanks. 14 And He has placed firm mountains on the earth lest it should move away from you, and has made rivers and tracks that you may find your way, 15 And landmarks (signposts, etc. during the day) and by the stars (during the night), they (mankind) guide themselves. 16 Is He then Who creates like him who does not create? Do you not then mind? 17 If you count God's blessing, you will never number it; surely God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you do openly. 19 Those unto whom they cry beside Allah created naught, but are themselves created. 20 They are dead, not living; nor do they know when they will be raised to life. 21
