It is He who sends down water from the sky. From it you drink and with it trees grow on which you pasture your cattle. 10 and thereby He brings forth for you crops, and olives, and palms, and vines, and all manner of fruit. Surely in that is a sign for a people who reflect. 11 And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder; 12 And He hath subjected for you whatsoever He hath multiplied for you on the earth of various kinds. Verily therein is a sign for a people who receive admonition. 13 And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. 14 And He has cast great mountains in the earth lest it might be convulsed with you, and rivers and roads that you may go aright, 15 And landmarks; and by the stars they find the right way. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 For, should you try to count God's blessings, you could never compute them! Behold, God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace; 18 Allah has knowledge of all that you hide and all that you reveal. 19 Those you call on besides God cannot create anything. They are themselves created. 20 Dead are they, not alive; and they perceive not when they will be raised up. 21
