It is He Who sent down water from the sky – you drink from it, and from it are trees you use as pasture. 10 He groweth for you thereby the corn and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Verily therein is a sign for a people who ponder. 11 He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. 12 And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. 13 It is He who has subjected the sea to you, so that you eat of its soft flesh and bring up from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing their course through it in order that you seek His bounty and give thanks. 14 And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves; 15 And landmarks (signposts, etc. during the day) and by the stars (during the night), they (mankind) guide themselves. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 And if you would count the graces of Allah, never could you be able to count them. Truly! Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 And Allah doth know what ye conceal, and what ye reveal. 19 , As for those they call besides God, they cannot create a thing, and have themselves been created. 20 (They are) dead, not living. And they know not when they will be raised. 21
