It is He who sends down water from the sky. From it you drink and with it trees grow on which you pasture your cattle. 10 [and] by virtue thereof He causes crops to grow for you, and olive trees, and date palms, and grapes, and all [other] kinds of fruit: in this, behold, there is a message indeed for people who think! 11 And He subjected to you the night and day, and the sun and moon; and the stars are subjected by His command. Surely in that are signs for a people who understand. 12 And other things of different shades has He produced on the earth for you. In this are signs for those who reflect. 13 It is He who subjected to you the sea, that you may eat of it fresh flesh, and bring forth out of it ornaments for you to wear; and thou mayest see the ships cleaving through it; and that you may seek of His bounty, and so haply you will be thankful. 14 God has fixed the mountains on earth lest you should be hurled away when it quakes. Therein He has also made rivers and roads so that you will find your way. 15 and He has set other landmarks in the earth. And by the stars too do people find their way. 16 So will He Who creates ever be like one who does not create? So do you not heed advice? 17 If you count God's blessing, you will never number it; surely God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 18 Allah knows all that you conceal and all that you disclose. 19 Those whom they invoke besides Allah create nothing and are themselves created. 20 (They are things) dead, lifeless: nor do they know when they will be raised up. 21
